What is one thing that most people want but very few have? Money. I’m not talking “couch cushion money”, I am talking filthy rich kind of money. The kind of money where you can buy a 150 foot yacht with a helicopter pad on top for your private chopper to sit when you aren’t flying around Manhattan. Many people aspire to be this kind of rich, very few have. There is one individual in particular that has achieved this outrageous status, and his name is none other than Jordan Belfort, also known as The Wolf of Wall Street. He earned his millions by buying ridiculous amounts of worthless penny stocks, then proceeding to talking them up to customers so they would buy. After they bought the stock, he would proceed to sell his stocks which gave him absurd profits. It was the classic “pump-and-dump scheme”.
I have a very deep connection with this man. Ever since reading about Jordan Belfort, I have always wanted to become successful more than I have wanted to breathe. No I do not agree with his morals, but overall I strive to have his work ethic and his completely dominant attitude. These attributes give off a sense of what he did, he has earned. Some may say his ways are greedy and wrong, but anyone who can live the way he did is admirable to me. The way he so effortlessly had a way with words is almost mind blowing. What he did to obtain his fortune is not how I find him interesting, but the way he went about it is what intrigues me.
This money making machine is no longer tweaking the markets to rack in the cash any longer, instead he uses his well sought after attributes and travels the world to motivate other money-crazed people. In the month of September, Belfort is going to Ireland, Tokyo, Russia, and many other places to speak in front of thousands. He tells his fans how to have the right attitude towards being successful in life. He doesn’t advocate that money will actually solve all problems, but it sure will help.
